Fun fact. The Coffee Martini (also known as an Espresso Martini), isn’t in fact, a martini at all.
It contains neither gin nor vermouth. But like many drinks that came before it, it adopted the name ‘martini’ most likely due to the fact that it is served up in the glass that is now synonymous with the original drink.
Regardless of its origins, in the 2020s this now famous cocktail took off! Fans of the drink enjoy the taste as well as the caffeine pick-me-up to start a night out with friends and colleagues.
If you’re more of a dinner party experience type of individual, this cocktail hits all the right notes as a dessert drink or a drink to go alongside your dessert, Tiramisu and a Coffee Martini!
As purveyors of coffee and the originators of cold brew, we knew we had to make a recipe of our own for our Brew N’ Bottle family to enjoy. We’re going beyond the froth and adding ice cream and a blender to our recipe.
Sweet, strong and perfectly chilled, we think this cocktail is a winner!
Coffee Martini Recipe
The coffee martini recipe is simple and is done in two quick stages:
Mix
First, create the drink mix itself by combining in a container: - 1/2 can of Eagle Brand (Sweetened Condensed Milk)
- 3/4 cup of half-n-half
- 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1 & 1/4 cups of Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate
- 1/2 cup of Vodka (it doesn’t have to be pricey, it’s the coffee taste that lends the flavor!)
Give the mix a shake before tossing it into a blender.
Blend
- Add 2 cups of your drink mix
- 2 cups of Vanilla Ice Cream
- 3 cups of Ice
Blend it all together and pour it into a martini glass (or your glass of choice). If you’re after more of a dessert drink you can top it with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles for extra sweetness!
